That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life...
Philippians 2:15-16a

About Me

I was born and raised in a Christian family.  My parents homeschooled me from Grade 4 through high school.  After finishing high school, I attended FaithWay Baptist College of Canada.  In 2003 I graduated with a Bachelor of Sacred Music Degree.  I spent three years on staff at FaithWay before moving back north.  Now I own my own house, my own car, and my own music academy.

My greatest desire is to serve the Lord with my life.  I've always loved going to church.   I praise the Lord that He led me to a good independent Baptist Bible college, and that He led my family to a good independent Baptist church.

I've always had a burden for my own country, Canada.   Several years ago on a mission trip to Newfoundland, we drove through town after town with no gospel preaching church.  In Quebec Roman Catholicism is the predominant religion, with many areas totally unreached by the gospel.  Others drive great distances to attend good churches, including my parents who drive over an hour one way each Sunday.   Canada is a nation in need of the gospel.  The fields are white, but labourers are few.  I praise the Lord for the opportunities He's given me to serve in my local church, and to be a witness for Him.

I hope that through my blog I can be an encouragement to others.  I would like to encourage people like me (single, independent, vibrant, women), and people who are not like me.  Hebrews 10:24 tells us we are to provoke one another unto love and good works.  That's what I want to do.  I would encourage Christians not to compromise the truth, take a stand for Christ, and shine as lights in this world.

Here and there amidst my theological ramblings you'll find a story or two about my family, my work, and my life in general.  I hope you enjoy reading my blog :).

Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
