The Day of Mysteries

I don't do well with not knowing things.  I really don't like surprises.  I hate waiting.  I get annoyed when people say something like "Oh, you'll see" or "I'll tell you later."  But, I want to know NOW!  I guess patience is not one of my virtues :).  


This past Friday I had a couple of "unknowns."  First of all, someone sent me flowers for my birthday, but I missed the delivery.  My Mom called the florist who said they would drop by later, but the never did.  I got busy teaching and sort of forgot about the flowers.  At the end of the day, I realized they never came!  I tossed around ideas of who they could be from.  Maybe my sister, or my friend in BC.  I called the florist again Friday night, but they were closed.  However, Saturday morning they came to my house.  Finally, my curiosity could be satisfied!  It ended up that the flowers were from a family whose two children I teach.  How nice is that?!  They remembered my birthday and sent me flowers :).  

Friday night (while I was still wondering about the flowers), I got home and one of the first things I did was check the mail.  There were a few letters and some junk mail.  I couple of the letters looked like birthday cards :).  One was from my friend Holly, but the other wasn't a birthday card at all!  It was just a simple heart cut out of red paper with I John 3:1 written on it.  It came in a plain white envelope with no return address.  There's no name on the heart.  The handwriting looks familiar, but I can't place whose it is!  It definitely looks like a girl's writing.  If a guy sent this then I apologize that I think your handwriting looks like a girl's, but I'm 99% sure it wasn't sent by a guy :).  I put a status on facebook to see of anyone would admit to sending it.  No luck :(.  Believe me, I'm DYING from curiosity!  Ahhh... so annoying.  I'm sure whoever sent this is laughing hysterically watching me post all my crazy facebook statuses every time I find a clue.  I know it was sent from Canada because the stamp on the envelop is Canadian.  That rules out any of my American friends.  I also know it was sent from a post office in downtown Ottawa, because I googled the postal code it was stamped with.  Very "Sherlock Holmes" of me... I know :).  There's only one problem. I cannot figure out who I know in Ottawa!!!  Especially downtown??????  I don't even know of any of my friends who've visited Ottawa recently.  Maybe it's from Stephen Harper :).  He'd have access to everyone's address and postal code in Canada!  I can see myself obsessing over this for a long time!  


So... to whoever sent this heart!  Thank you!  It was an encouragement, and I am blessed to know you thought of me.  Even if you won't tell me who you are so I can thank you personally!
