The World

Satan is in charge.

Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.  John 12:31.

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience. Ephesians 2:2.

Satan is the world's god.

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.  II Corinthians 4:4.

The world is a mess.

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.  II Peter 1:4.

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.  II Peter 2:20.

Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father.  Galatians 1:4.

They hate Jesus.

If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.  If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.  John 15:18-19.

They hate those who follow Jesus.

Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.  I John 3:13.

Nothing of the world's wickedness is of God.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. I John 2:16.

Even though the world hates God, God loves the world.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  John 3:16.

Jesus died to save them.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.  John 3:17.

God wants the whole world to know Him.

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.  John 1:9

The world will know God if Christians carry the gospel to the them.

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15.

The disciples turned the world upside down with the gospel.

And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also. Acts 17:6.

Christians have the spirit of God, not the spirit of the world.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.  I Corinthians 2:12.

Christians are to be the light of the world.
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Matthew 5:14.


Christians should not be friends with the evil things of the world (remember the world hates God, and we love God).
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.  James 4:4


Christians should not love the sin and wickedness of the world.
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  I John 2:15.
